In my secondary school years, I hated English. But in high school, I started loving English. Thanks to my English teacher, I loved it. Probably, I should also mention games. In secondary school years, English was kind of unnecessary for me. There were tens of thousands of rules to learn, vocabulary skills, etc. But because there wasn't a Turkish translation or localization process in the games that I played, I had to learn English. It is probably the most critical motivation that you can have when you are trying to learn something new. You should literally need it.
